The wedding of Andrew and Gillian @ Knipe Hall
Here are some pictures of the flowers at the wedding of Andy and Gillian at Knipe Hall, each time I've been at Knipe this year something more new has been done this time it's the area between the dairy and the stairs to the barn all decorated and looking lovely! But back to the wedding I met Gillian and Andy when I was recommended to them by the lovely Caroline who got married at Knipe last year! And was delighted to do their flowers what a great couple, Gillian was exited about using my lovely milk churns so they went outside the barn , she had all white flowers in the barn for the ceremony and shades of green, pink and lilac on the tables in the dairy! Here are the pictures pre wedding, I also met the lovely Jane and her husband of Pink Leaf Catering and have tried to get some of her tasty menu in the picture too!

Summer 2012
Well despite the awfull weather here apparently it's summer! One advantage of the weather is I've not needed to water my garden much and everything looks as fresh and green as it did in june, could do with some sun to ripen my tomatoes and encourage the roses to flower! On a good note I'm now the florist for The Sharrow Bay hotel and I'm loving it at the moment the gardens are in full bloom with sweet peas, sunflower, multicoloured snapdragons, fushias, scented garden rose and geraniums a florists heaven! Here's a few pictures of a busy summer

Bluebells!
A couple of weeks ago whilst doing some flowers for a wedding I needed some extra flowers so went to my brothers garden to borrow some bluebells, this lead to an explanation to Julie his girlfriend about the difference between native and none native bluebells so I've taken pictures of both kinds the non native have thicker straight stems and native ones curl over at the top!

Last weekend was very busy with the wedding of Tim and Julie, this was a secret wedding which the groom organised it all apart from the bride getting her dress and the bridesmaids! The wedding was at the lovely Knipe Hall near Askham, Tim sorted it all out expertly including Julie leading a donkey ( she couldn't ride her a you can't ride a donkey if your over 8 stone, and she's 9!) here's a few pictures

New wedding consultation room!
Have a look at the picture below, it's greenwheat flowers wedding consultation room, this was previously a little used attic room that was damp (from a leaky roof) and had a pink carpet and wood chip wallpaper walls, we've been very busy since autumn mending the roof, taking a wall out, adding built in cupboards and finally the best bit decorating it!

Sarah's Bouquets and buttonholes
Here are some more photos of Sarahs flowers in the bouquets there was Black Baccara and Nadia roses with birch twigs and rosemary, with a collar of trailing ivy, and the twiggy tree is a birch which I sprayed with Oasis flat white spray and added raffia bows and ivy, whilst I was preparing for this wedding it was the week between Christmas and New Year, and Great Expectations was on the tele which inspired me. Florist Zita Elze created the very gothic flowers for the programme and there was alot of gloomyness with white cobwebs, so this convinced me to spray the twigs white to make them stand out against the dark of the church (we were hoping it would have snowed and the twigs would have stood out as dark against it!),
