A busy Spring and what's coming up!

Hello , I've had a very busy spring with quite a few weddings using some lovely spring flowers and I've also visited a couple of new venues for me all of them lovely and in beautiful scenery The Samling , Windermere- which we managed to combine with a family day out a Hill Top ( Beatrix Potters house) and the Windermere car ferry and lunch at our friends restaurant Porto in Bowness. I also had a lovely ride out to New House Farm at Lorton and the weekend to the very beautiful and unique St Begas at Bassenthwaite and Armathwaite Hall.
This week Im also busy as speaker at CWE at the Coral tearoom at Plumpton, and the wedding fair at The George Hotel in Penrith on Sunday. We've also got a new car ( it's still 12 years old- the last one was 22!) and my husband Lee will be helping me with deliveries and Rowan a local florist is helping me out at busy times - it's all go!!
Here's a few photos!

Weddings and 21st birthday celebrations

Hello, I can't believe it nearly the end of February already! The year seems to have gone so fast, it's been really busy for me with lots of enquiries and bookings for this year and a few for 2015. Please drop me a email if your thinking about your wedding flowers and other celebrations too! I look forward to visiting some new venues for me such as New House Farm, Lorton , Threlkeld Cricket Club and Askham Hall as well is familiar ones such as The Rounthorn, The Inn on the Lake, Knipe Hall, Morland Hall and local churches.
A couple of weeks ago was my sisters 21 st birthday which was held at Lowther Castle Gardens courtyard, India said she would like a 'winter wonderland ' theme , so I set to work on a new idea for me - paper pom- poms, I made around 150 of them and they are a bit more difficult than they look to get a good shape , I hung these on birch trees and up the banisters with snowflakes made by Joe @ Croglin Designs , we had paper whites, genista and daffodils with large candles, logs and lanterns on the tables!
We had great night with mulled cider then, venison casserole ans sticky toffe pudding and danced to local band Soul Survivors !

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you all! Here in Cumbria it's still very wet, as it was all Christmas ! Time for me to take down the decorations and think of a very busy year ahead. Yesterday I was speaking to Helen at my wholesalers The Flower Bank, she was pleased to see her early morning flower delivery at last , as the Christmas break was a long one due to missing two Dutch auctions as they take place on a Wednesday for the weekend coming up! So I'm now thinking about spring flowers such as anemones, paper whites and hyacinths- which are now available, along with the usual January jobs such as tax returns, website updates, new business cards and enquiries and quotes ( any maybe a few days away!)Here's s few pictures from December!
