In May my florist friend Dawn married Eddie at the Crown in Mitre in Carlisle, we started work on thursday morning , with Dawn and her Dad Derek collecting the wedding flowers from the Flower Bank, I had greened up the 5 candlelabras that were to be used for the ceremony room then for the reception. We then put all the flowers into water, sorted into buckets according to what they would be used for - bouquets, buttonholes, tables ect. We the greened up the arrangements to go on the mantlepeices and the registrars table. Friday came and Dawn had compleated all her bridesmaids bouquets, so we added all flowers to the arrangements, working outside in the garden, these were then all stored in the shed! We then enjoyed a lovely lunch from Dawns mam and Sally popped into give us a hand she sorted out the goldfish bowls, with lights in for the night do and added all the hot pink gerberas to them! We then tackled alll the bottonholes and Dawn made her beautifull bouquet!
The day of the wedding was here and we all met up at the Crown and Mitre, where the tables were been laid for the afternoon tea, the goldfish bowls went downstairs to the bar and would be moved upstairs for the evening, the tables were set with pink or lilac table runners with silver candlelabras and Dawns vintage teasets with paper roses, upstairs in the ceremony room the candlelebras and mantlepiece arrangements were set out. Meanwhile Lee went of to sort out his Cheesecake for the night do. For more photos of the finished results have a look at the wedding gallery. Once all was compleated we could relax and and enjoy the day!!
